Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment

Women and girls living in poverty have their voices and choices drowned out and suffer silently, yet painfully in systems that are not designed to see them as equal or deserving of a rich and fulfilled life free from oppression, violence and bias. Through our girls and women’s clubs, we are building movements and providing spaces for girls and women to build their collective agency and resilience. Through our partner, ROOTS in Zimbabwe, we have reached out to 3500 women and girls with over 1000 of them taking up leadership spaces in their schools, churches and community at large. The women and girls take leadership roles in local councils and fight to have women’s issues on the agenda!
We also promote gender equality and promote women's empowerment by challenging retrogressive societal practices. We conduct Community Dialogues with Men and Boys and Traditional and Religious Leaders.
